A mouse the cat might choose

| This laptop mouse is a delight to use - it is very well constructed both in a physical and ergonomic sense. When not in use the wireless adaptor fits neatly into the base of the mouse and also switches it off saving the batteries. In terms of performance it is second to none being very precise with a number of software options available to control speed, pointer style and mouse trails etc. but, of course, as it is Windows XP/Vista compliant you need install no software at all - it is "plug and play". Overall, one of those products that is truly "nigh on perfect" and looks as though it will last for ages. Buy it with confidence. |

I was wary over some of the comments about signal strength, but have had no issues in the every day use over the 2 months i have had the mouse. I travel a lot with my laptop and the mouse fits snuggly into my laptop bag, and appears robust enough that it will not easily break. Software included is easily installed, enabling you to amend the function of the additional button - and i make use of the 'instant viewer', which enables you to see all your open windows by pressing the scroll button down.
Would definately recommend for the business traveller. |

| I started to get achey fingers using the mouse pad on my laptop and so started a painful search for the ideal cordless mouse, I say painful because there are so many and I research almost every option before I buy anything! Anyway I quickley narrowed my search to just four : Microsoft 4000 & 6000 and Logitech V200 & V400. the 6000 dropped away first after reading many reviews about stiff buttons and when tested in PC world I could see what they meant(it looks good though). the V200 was next to go because I saw one and that was enough for me - it looks very dated though its 2.4ghz range is a good feature and one that kept me waiting for the V400 to be released, however once on the market reviews came through reporting that it was difficult to control so I thought it is best left alone. So I reluctantly (because of range concerns) ordered the 4000, however it is a fantastic mouse, very comfortable (a friend has the microsoft BX3 but it is too small for me), very smooth, smart looking and a great battery life (1xAA) - mine is on constantly throughout the day whilst at work and it is still showing full battery after a month.. |

Frankly this is the best mouse I've ever bought. When I first opened it, I was worried because I thought it would be too small and fiddly. That was not the case: it's small, but it's in no way awkward at all. It's compact, and the USB stick also stores in the bottom of the mouse for easy travelling.
The single AA battery also lasts for quite a long time, I only have to change it every six months or so, and that's with using the mouse every day.
Fantastic product by Microsoft, don't hesistate in buying it. Good value, and well worth every penny.
6*! |

I needed a mouse for my laptop because the built in one on my laptop was just getting on my nerves. No longer do I need to use it though, as I have bought the Microsoft 4000 notebook mouse, which is awesome! I thought it might be too small and hard to move but it wasn't, it is just right.
It's easy to set up and the mouse itself is superb in that the overall smoothness and movement is exceptional. Anyone looking to buy a mouse for their laptop, I would highly recommend this mouse.
Oh yeah theirs a extra button on the side that once clicked, opens up a box on your screen which lets you zoom in on stuff you wouldn't normally be able to see clearly.
