this mouse is definatley worth its money. it has two buttons which are programable, i have used the for maximize and minimize i just makes it alot quiker and easier to use your pc. i wouldnt recomend this for left handers it doesnt fit the hand at all but it is very well shaped for right hand users. the software that comes with it is also good you have a range of differant functions to program any of the bunttons.

This is a great mouse for a family computer. The children find it very easy to use and control. Love the non-clicking wheel and the side buttons with the magnifying feature. Kids loved the software that allows you to chose different pointer icons. We now have an ever changing variety of drumming drums and funny hands to keep us entertained!

I can confirm this is indeed the Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 in a new box - it is even still labelled as such on the underside. I bought this to replace ours which had simply worn out after extensive heavy use. It is a very good, precise, comfortable mouse, very happy to have found this replacement.
For those having problems with the window flicker in some applications that the software with this mouse can cause, there is something you can do about it, if you are prepared to lose some function...
Open Task Manager and look for "ipoint.exe", right click on it, and select "End Process". The annoying flicker will be gone, but unfortunately so will the function that allows you to see little snapshots of all the open windows, as will any button customisation you might have - the side buttons then become forward/backward browser buttons. Personally I can live with this in return for getting rid of the desperately annoying flicker, and I have permanently disabled ipoint.exe from starting up (look for some free software called Autoruns frmo Microsoft which you can use to find the program in the startup lists and disable it). Otherwise it will come back after each reboot and you will have to keep ending it manually. |

| When my last optical mouse went to heaven I looked around for a good replacement, this was it. Fits the right hand very well and the tracking/response it 100%, really can recommend this one. |
