| a superb bit of kit, i have no comlaints whatsoever, turn pc off, put the infra red reciever in a spare usb port, reboot the pc and your away, lovely little thing, quiet click, silent scroll, good feel, not to large or to small, about a 1.5 meter range, buy this with confidence |

| Great mouse. Had it for a while now. Works very well. Not too sure about gaming, but as I don't play much games, it's not that much of an issue. |
A mouse with heart

One of the best small optical mice out there.. I owned one of these previously for 3 years and recently had reason to replace it with a new one as I simply couldn't function with out it on my PC Laptop.
The Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 is light and commfortable to hold and operate. Both left and right mouse buttons respond well to a simple click with ease and the centre roller scroll operates on a light ratchet system which provides single or continious scroll movements with ease.
A great, hardy little workhorse of a mouse prefect for a notebook for both the PC and Mac.. I recommened it a prefect purchase.. |
Fine Mouse

I have had one of these at home for 2 years and I find it very comfortable to use, so when my work computer was changed to one that wouldn't accept my old wired mouse, I bought another identical wireless one.
It works fine. I much prefer it to a Logitech that I borrowed. |
Very little reason to spend any more

Very neat design. If you're used to the Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0, this is pretty much what you'd expect from a notebook version. The silver badge is a button which gives you access to the battery compartment, and the USB receiver pushes into the bottom of the mouse when not in use, simultaneously turning it off - no flashing of red lights just because you picked up the mouse. Uses one AA battery but Microsoft claims it will last for "6 months plus". The sides held with your thumb and fourth finger have a non-slip surface, which goes some way towards making up for the absence of the curved surfaces that help you grip the full-size one.
I'm sure later models have lovely flashy facilities, but when I still struggle to remember to use the scroll wheel, these aren't terribly appealing. Note that the USB receiver protrudes 2.2"/5.5cm when in the USB slot.
Only serious contender was the Miscrosft Arc mouse which looks very nice but costs nearly double the price, and you currently can't have a blue one. |
